Uraidla Market, Adelaide Hills
I have always had a passion for freshness and quality and buy food from local growers as often as I can. Recently I have had a bit more time on my hands and started to visit country markets. Today was the day of Uraidla Hills Producers Market.
The market takes place in the Old Uraidla Institute (Greenhill Road, South Australia) on the 1st and 3rd Sunday every month of the year from 10 to 15 o’clock. It is a little market, but it offers fresh fruits, vegetables, berries, oils, wines, plants, jams, skin care products, knitwear and craft. There are also homemade cakes and biscuits with tea and coffee and a barbeque. Considering that it is a short and beautiful drive from Adelaide, it is worth the travel. And it feels so good to support the work of locals!
