Common questions about the calendars:
Why are there extra days at the beginning of some months?
The “extra” days you may see at the beginning of a month are simply the last days of that month moved to the beginning of the month grid to avoid adding an extra row just for one or two days. You can see that such month has a day or two missing at the end. Those missing days are placed at the beginning of the same month square. This is simply a design approach for those who like more space and larger fonts in their calendars. If you prefer all days to be listed in order, please have a look at the calendar pages on my site: they have various designs for you to choose from.
Why are some weeks vertical?
This is a matter of personal preference: some people like calendar weeks to be in rows, and others prefer columns because vertical week arrangement takes less space on a portrait-oriented page. The calendars page offers many different layouts. Choose the one you like.
Why don't all weeks start on Sunday?
Again, this is a matter of preference, although the ISO 8601 standard does define Monday as the first day of the week. Most countries traditionally start their week on Monday, some on Sunday, and some on other days. There are a few Sunday-start calendars offered on the calendars page. There are also customisable calendars and customisable month planners where you can choose absolutely any day for your weeks to start with.
