When will the COVID-19 pandemic end?

This is no longer a joke. Soon we won't be able to buy food without handing over our contact details. Thanks to covid, the government found a way to deal with those who want to protect their privacy: starve them to death. In Queensland, from 9 July every supermarket, grocery shop and retail food outlet will have to demand that you use the Check In Qld app or give them your name, address and contact details.
The app Privacy Policy, if you can call it that, says it will send the authorities the location, time and date of your visits; your full name; your phone number; your email address; and information about the technology you used to check in. Nowhere it explains what that "information about the technology you used to check in" includes and what sort of data it can steal from your device. It could easily grab your device ID and other identifying information. This applies to Queensland Check In Qld app, Western Australian SafeWA app, Tasmanian Check in Tas app, and ACT Check In CBR app.
Sadly, it is highly unlikely that this coercion and mass surveillance will be completely removed when the pandemic is over. Coronavirus became a convenient pretext for stripping the population of their privacy, civil rights and freedoms.

Queensland check in app is the worst of them. For instance, NSW app asks for your email OR phone number, and keeps data for 28 days. Qld app demands phone AND email, and keeps data for 56 days. And of course no other state or territory decided to bar people from grocery shopping unless they say goodbye to their privacy. And the pandemic is absolutely no justification for this intrusion in Qld, because Qld infection rates are much lower than NSW. It is pure abuse and violation.

The only reason Australia didn't become a covid cesspool is due to its geographic isolation, not because politicians and bureaucrats did anything better than other countries. Yes vaccination passports are a real possibility. Of course they will be digital and will require an app connected to the Australian immunisation register, which is tied to Medicare account, which has to be linked to myGov.
At this stage state and federal governments are herding the public into accepting that everyone 'must' disclose personal information wherever they go. Once people accept that, it will be an easy push to make everyone show their medical/vaccination records too. Beware however that if we let the whole notion of medical privacy become extinct in this pandemic, we will never get it back.

My own experience confirms that it is impossible for an ordinary adult to get a covid vaccine in Australia through state health authorities without booking online and giving them email address and phone number. Which I am not willing to do, because devil only knows where it is going to end up. At the very least all the data is likely to be deposited into the immunisation register, from which it is impossible to delete anything or opt out.

Be very careful if you are booking covid-19 vaccine online. Many clinics and medical centres dupe you into making the booking via HotDoc, HealthEngine, 1stGroup sites, etc. So you will be creating an account with a commercial entity and giving your personal and medical information to them, and then your data can be used for advertisement, marketing and financial gain of those businesses and their "partners". Just read Health Engine Privacy Policy. It is outrageous that an official government web site even links to such companies, let alone tells people to actually use those systems!

Great to see that someone put this in such a fine way. For a while I though I was the only one using paper tax returns mainly to avoid giving out my email and phone number. But over time I discovered that many others do the same. And rightly so! Scam calls, emails and text messages pretending to be from the taxation office are too common to be careless.
I'd use myGov and myTax if they didn't demand email address and mobile phone number as mandatory... but they do, so I am still with paper. On paper I can simply leave those fields blank. And then whenever I receive a call or a message from someone claiming to be ATO, I know immediately those are scammers, because I have never given ATO that info. Very simple and effective protection!
Another reason why I leave phone and email fields blank on my tax return is because it says "Your contact details may be used by the ATO...to conduct research and marketing". I DO NOT agree with that at all, but nobody is asking. What's the point of that text anyway if there is no way to say NO or to opt out? What's the alternative? Not to lodge a tax return at all? Really? Can I? By behaving like this the government is basically saying that if some criminal first tells you that he is going to kill/rape/rob you, that makes it Ok.

Queensland tyrants updated their restrictions direction. The collection of personal information became mandatory for takeaway. So now the only way to get food without being under surveillance is via drive though. Live on junk\fast food or surrender! Or use home delivery, which means giving personal information to another bunch. And surely this will be barred in a few weeks too. They will continue tearing people's privacy and dignity apart until they have us all microchipped or wearing some tracking device like police ankle bracelets.
Another interesting change is "a person is not required to provide contact information if the person is exercising law enforcement, intelligence, or national security functions on behalf of a government agency". Marvellous! Queensland government, police and secret squirrels exempted themselves, but all normal people have to comply. The government well and truly forgot who pays their salaries and who they are supposed to be working for.

Those Orwellian vaccine passports, linked to the damned myGov and MyHealthRecord... I hope Australia sees sense and we will never have them here, that is if we still live in a fair, free and democratic society.
The naive idiots who support those passports "to get life back to normal" just can't grasp that normal life will be the last thing they will ever get if those passports become a reality. The idiots are too eager to get to a footy match, yoga class and a cafe with almond milk latte that they are ready to forgo their freedoms and human rights. If it was just their rights and their freedoms, they are welcome to do so if they so choose, but they are too selfish and too petty to care that they are also denying freedoms and human rights to everyone else.
The proposed vaccine passports will not be the solution, they will be the first strep in the perpetual medical surveillance, discrimination on the basis of health, and the loss of bodily integrity and autonomy for every citizen. It won't be just one vaccination. I guarantee you it won't stop there. It is a slippery slope. Once the control system is up and running, it will be expanded further. Today it is COVID-19 Delta, in ten years it will be COVID-29 Sigma... and it will require a bunch of booster shots in between. Then the governments will proceed to adding other medical procedures to the mandatory list, not just injections. No prostate exam, no colonoscopy, no pap smear - no holiday, football game or dinner at a restaurant for you! And you will have to show and prove to every government official, petty bureaucrat and cafe owner that you were injected, tested, x-rayed, and had a scope shoved up your ***.
Those who think that this is some conspiracy theory are the very same people who 500 years ago wouldn't believe that the Earth revolves around the Sun, and 2 years ago would not have believed that the whole world could shut down and everyone's human rights will be denied to them until they get injected with a hastily concocted substance long term effects of which are unknown to science.
There is no evidence that the so-called fully vaccinated are any less likely to spread the virus, only that they are less likely to develop serious symptoms, which means they are actually more likely to continue walking around when sick and infecting others.
This COVID vaccination is still a global medical experiment, and vaccine passports are simply a means of coercion to take part in it. If someone wants to be vaccinated, nobody is stopping them. But they have no right to mandate that everyone else must do the same, or that every vaccinated person should be forced to use a vaccine passport and show their full name, date of birth and medical information on demand. Otherwise if unvaccinated people are denied something or restricted in any way, they should be paying less tax. They already paid for the vaccines and the passports of those who wanted that. This discrimination and abuse must stop now.

Beware: there are no legal protections for Check In app data in Queensland. Despite all the promises of Queensland government that the app data will be used only for contact tracing and nothing else, police and other agencies can access it. The app privacy policy and statements are misleading and deceptive, and there is this clause, "information collected using the Check In Qld app may be disclosed to, and used...where the use or disclosure is authorised or required by law". This is a very common clause, but unfortunately the most damaging. It essentially means we have no privacy protections at all. As we already know, during a pandemic the government becomes a law unto itself, therefore it can do and does whatever it wants.

I had two doses of the vaccine, but there is no way I wish to show a vaccine passport or any other proof of vaccination to some person at every door. It has my identity details (name and date of birth), and my medical information, so it should remains private at all times. That's called a human right to privacy.
If the government decides that people concerned with privacy issues can be barred from living a normal life, I like the idea suggested above: those who are not allowed to go somewhere or do something should pay less tax.

There was an online petition to parliament, which my family signed. We'll see how much effect it has in this supposedly free and democratic country.
"Experimental vaccines being pushed onto the community to enforce Vaccine Passports is unethical. No member of government that truly cares to deliver in the best interests of their citizens would consider or support Vaccine Passports. Good leaders advocate to protect the rights of their people to be free to make a personal decision about COVID-19 vaccination that will not see them discriminated against or segregated for declining this or any vaccination and making sure they are free from punishment if they choose to say NO. These draconian passports would infringe on peoples' rights and be an invasion in their personal lives opening the door to more tyrannical features being added down the line. We do not want our country to become a two-tiered society that consists of the vaccinated and unvaccinated. Private companies and health agencies should not be able to gain access to the health records of any citizen that in turn is a violation of their civil and human rights. While we defend the right of businesses to operate how they choose, this must NEVER extend to infringing on the inherent rights of anyone to make private and personal medical decisions. Through ensured informed consent every person must make their choice without facing any discrimination, coercion or fear of exclusion. Say NO to medical apartheid in Australia. It puzzled me for a long while why so many vaxxi-nazis advocate for vaccine passports. If they believe this vaccine is safe and effective, fine, nothing is stopping them from getting it.
Since this vaccine is not guaranteed to prevent the so-called "fully" vaccinated people from catching the virus and infecting others, the passport push is definitely not about public health and safety. It is also pretty clear why governments would want to bring these passports in: it's a tool of population control and surveillance. But it was mystery why some ordinary people became such rabid supporters of the vaccine passport idea. And suddenly a colleague of mine explained it in an argument. She got jabbed twice, but instead of being happy and content with that, she keeps saying that mandatory vaccine passports are a great idea because they will force everyone to vaccine. And why does she want that so much? Because she is afraid that these new and largely untested covid vaccines may have some long term effects that are not yet known. And she doesn't want to suffer these effects while seeing the unvaccinated people unaffected.
This is sick and crazy, but that's the sort of people who are supporting these proof of vaccination certificates, or vaccine passports, or whatever they will be called.

With vaccine passports, it's pretty easy to understand why the govt wants to bring them in. It's a way for the govt to compel everyone to vaccinate and effectively make covid vaccines mandatory, while maintaining that these vaccines are theoretically voluntary. The govt simply wants to shield its ass and avoid being sued or held accountable for any possible harm. If in a few years it turns out these vaccines cause cancer, or dementia, or autism (pun intended), or some other harmful effects, the govt will say, 'Not our fault, you CHOSE to vaccinate! Numerous incidents and reports already confirmed that covid vaccines DO NOT reliably prevent infection and transmission of the virus, especially delta variant. They do decrease the probability of serous symptoms and deaths, but that only proves the point that vaccination should be a personal choice, not forced or mandated. In addition, vaccinated people are generally more complacent about distancing and hygiene. So the purpose of vaccine passports is to keep everyone under state surveillance. They have nothing to do with protecting anyone's health.

So that they an easily strip you of your "fully vaccinated" status any time later and require that you get injected the third time, then forth, then drop your pants, bend over and have a rectal exam... Another fully-vaccinated person here. Hopefully really 'fully', for good. I had Pfizer and suffered very painful side effects, but that's beside the point. What I want to say is that despite being vaccinated myself, I am vehemently in favour of voluntary vaccinations and respect the choice of others if they don't want to do it. I am also very much against vaccine passports (and any other form of checks, surveillance and medical apartheid), against the requirement to provide phone numbers or email addresses for vaccinations, and against the pressure to do online booking, to create any sorts of accounts, or to download any apps. Everyone should be given an opportunity to get the vaccine (if they want!) by simply walking in and giving nothing more than their name, medicare card and maybe the date of birth. And then go on and live normal life without being compelled to download some app, sign up for mygov, and produce vaccination record at every entrance or check in everywhere. Otherwise the privacy invasion and infringement of rights are rapidly becoming much greater threats than the virus.

It is really sickening that people are cornered into booking the vaccination online either with HotDoc, or FindAPharmacy, or some other online booking system. People are paying for this whole vaccination program from their taxes, so why are they forced to give their personal data to third parties just to get a vaccine they already paid for?? Our data is a business asset for those booking services, and we are giving it to them for free. Worse still, our government is forcing us to do it! Who knows where that data is going to end up. It could be transferred overseas, or uploaded into a cloud storage, or used for spam, or stolen, or hacked... The situation is appalling! If the government wants people to vaccinate, they should make vaccines available without the need to sign up for online accounts and to give highly private data to some shonky companies!

Although the state government has got its coveted 80% vaccination target, they are still not even beginning to talk about abolishing COVID check ins and surveillance apps!
There is a lot of talk about "opening up", i.e. about taking our money, but there is zero talk about giving people their privacy back.
As most smart people expected, this virus that appeared in 2019 will be used as an excuse for spying on people for years, maybe until 2030. Our entire family is vaccinated, but we have truly had enough of this spying check-in app, and none of us will agree to show the proof of vaccination when we go about doing normal daily things. Full name, date of birth and a medical record is not something that a country with strong protections for privacy and human rights would demand to see at every building entrance. But as we all know, Australia is not such country. As a result, we will not go to any place that demands to see our personal data. We don't want to spend our money in a place that acts as a spy for the government. Hopefully that every business that mandates proof of vaccination will lose enough of their customers to learn to respect people's privacy.

A paper vaccine certificate wouldn't be so bad if you don't allow anyone to photocopy it, only to have a look at it. But those digital passports are crap. They require signing up for myGov and Medicare, then signing up for Apple or Google account, then downloading an app which will sure be tracking and stealing and sharing user data. It is really annoying how some politicians and bureaucrats are saying that paper certificates are inferior because they can be forged. There are apps that forge covid check-ins and digital vaccination certificates too! Rory, I suspect the govt is peddling digital vaccine passports because they have cunning plans to either mandate boosters at a later stage or add other medical procedures. So they don't want to be replacing the paper certificates that say you used to be considered FULLY vaccinated. Same problem in Western Australia. The government keeps finding excuses for keeping everyone locked in and under control. First we were promised freedom of travel at 80% vaccination rate, then at 90%. Now that's not good enough either. Now it's 90% vax rate PLUS two covid tests for being able to travel like a normal human being. And of course those tests won't be anonymous on-the-spot tests. They will require a form full of your personal data and they will get to grab your DNA sample. We already had police misusing covid app data. What is there to stop anyone from misusing the tests?
It looks like it doesn't matter how many new treatments, tests and vaccines are invented. It doesn't matter if the chance of dying from covid is 0.001%. If there is any pretext for keeping people under surveillance, the government will do that.

My point precisely Ole! Covid doesn't tend to kill anyone who is totally healthy. The people who die from/with covid are those who already have other serious health issues. So covid only advanced their death, not causes it. It is sad of course. But more devastating is that our government refuses to see things in any perspective. For example there are thousands of Australians whose death had been or will be advanced by the inhalation of coal dust thanks to extensive coal mining. Yet the government doesn't care about those premature deaths. On the contrary it is constantly attempting to expand coal mining, which by the way will leave Australia with a collapsed economy in 10-20 years, which will cause more health care cuts and lead to more deaths from many other causes.
So why is the government so concerned with covid deaths and doesn't care about coal-caused deaths?
1. Coal brings money (for now). Covid doesn't.

And the worst thing, they are not planning on winding this back.

As the attendance tracking apps with QR codes are now mandated by every state and territory, they became a part of the most extensive mass surveillance operation on Australian soil. Yet the laws that protect personal data are weak, vague, inadequate, and in some states non-existent. For example, Queensland still hasn't introduced the laws that would ban unauthorised access to that data. But then, what else can we expect from the state that practises forced hospitalisations of everyone who tests positive?
To have any public trust and cooperation, the whole country must have uniformed laws:
The collected personal information must be limited to the minimum necessary for achieving the stated legitimate purpose.
The data collected under the pandemic pretext must never be used for anything else or combined with any other data. No if-s, no but-s. No exceptions for police, ASIO and the rest of that wonderful bunch.
This data must be securely stored in Australia.
All pandemic-related apps and other software must be open source.
This data must be completely and irreversibly deleted once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, including all data from QR-code check in apps and vaccine status certificates.
All surveillance systems and tools must be dismantled when the state of emergency has been lifted.
The state of emergency must not continue beyond what's absolutely medically necessary.
There must be severe punishments for the governments and their employees for breaching these laws. There also must be severe penalties for employers, business operators and anyone else who abuses any data from covid tests, vaccine certificates or contact tracing apps.
Individuals must have the right to sue for breach of their privacy. Otherwise, the governments will continue do as they please without any repercussions.
And these have to be legislation/laws, not regulations. Because regulations can be changed by any minister at any time, while legislation changes must go through the parliament, which is the foundation of democracy.

Cignpost (Express Test) has been caught using COVID test swabs together with personal and demographic information for human DNA extraction, "to learn more about human health, develop drugs and products or to sell information to third parties." In addition, their policy states that the data is retained indefinitely, so you can't delete it even if you wanted! Is it just sickening that such companies profit from being allowed to conduct a government-mandated test and then double-dip by collecting and selling your personal and biometric data!

It is unbelievable that Queensland government is still trying to pretend that their spying QR-code Chek-in app and the forced imprisonment of infected people in hospitals are for public health benefit. If any new covid variant mutates to evade vaccines, the only thing that can save the majority of population from the high risk of getting terribly sick or dying is the exposure to the variant of the real virus for which the vaccines do work. Covid vaccines target only a small portion of the virus particle, so if the virus develops a mutation in that portion, we are all back to the deepest part of the shit creek. So, while the vaccines still work, we need to get the real virus and develop the immunity for the rest of it. All covid restrictions and spying must stop intermediately. That is of course if the government's agenda is health, not the spying and control. If however they want to keep people under surveillance and force everyone to be injected with a new vaccine every 3 months, then of course the status quo will continue.

Hear, hear! I'm f*ing sick of this flip-and-backpedal vaccine game!! First the govt said the vaccine would be voluntary, then they forced everyone to get it. Then they promised that "if you're double vaccinated, you're fully vaccinated" and that boosters would be optional for "additional protection" only. But now they the are beginning to push for the third dose as "highly recommended". Just wait a couple of months and they will make it mandatory.
I was stupid and naive to believe them that if I get my two doses I will be a free person again. Now I see that this mass control and surveillance game will never end. I no longer trust a single word the government and the medical paper pushers say. F*k them all. Liars. If I lose my job because I don't have the 127th booster, fine. I'll live off my savings for as long as I can, which means these government liars will get zero income tax money from me for their salaries. I wish I wasn't so gullible. I have been crippled by Moderna for 8 weeks now. Terrible chest pains, nerve and muscle pains along the injected arm, varicose veins on my legs, migraines and blurry vision... I was forced to get this vaccine in order to keep my job, but now I am unable to work! No way am I taking a booster! I prefer to lose my job, not the rest of my health.
I am in my early 30s and have never had any health issues before. However, when I went to doctors, they dismissed my complaints as related to the vaccine, so I couldn't get a medical exemption for any busters that may be forced upon us in the future.

Same story with me, only after Pfizer. Sudden loss of sharpness of vision, especially in the near distance, heart palpitations and persistent chest pain that severely worsen every evening, and my leg veins all bulged out. I was in perfect health before the vaccine, but because I cannot prove it, the doctors refuse to take it seriously and won't give me an exemption from boosters. They say that because I am 40, my vision loss is due to presbyopia. Bullocks! I had perfect eyesight until two hours after the vaccine when I developed horrendous pressure in my temples and lost the ability to focus close. My eyes are the most important part of my body for my work. This vaccine basically wrecked my life. But no one wants to hear that any of this is caused by the vaccines. You are confused, hysterical, or faking it, etc, etc. Most doctors will spin you any yarn that your sudden health problems are caused by anything but the vaccine.

I just can't understand how the governments of rich countries are allowed to think about covid booster vaccines while totally ignoring worldwide vaccine equity. In poorer countries so many people, including health workers, die or live with a huge risk of severe illness because they haven't had a single dose of any covid vaccine! The only way to prevent new variants like Omicron is to decrease the virus activity everywhere on the planet. Otherwise we will inevitably get a variant that the vaccines do not protect from. If Australia was a civilised country, somebody would already sue the government for making additional vaccines mandatory. Especially if the person has a paper copy of the vaccination certificate. The online record or app data can be amended by the government whenever they want, but the paper forever says "COVID-19 certificate: This individual has received ALL required COVID-19 vaccinations". Certificates are matter-of-fact documents, they don't get changed unless the information in them is incorrect. That's why the same government would refuse to change your birth certificate if you change your name after marriage, because at the time of your birth that was your correct last name. So the government should be sued either for issuing documents with intentionally incorrect information, or for refusing to honour its own certificates.

The appalling situation with visa cancellation of the international tennis players just proves once again that COVID-19 rules and restrictions have nothing to do with protecting anyone's health. It's all about the government seizing the opportunity to play a tough guy and to control people. Nothing else matters. Tests are useless too, because even if you test negative, you can end up with a cancelled visa and be locked up in quarantine. And of course both affected tennis players are 'coincidentally' from Eastern European countries. This unscrupulous government feels most comfortable mistreating those people. They can't play the racial card, but they are never treated the same way as American and Western European citizens are. Australian international reputation is already in tatters. Soon nobody will want to have anything to do with us: neither in military defence (see the submarine debacle), nor in climate change... And now not even in sport! I stopped at 2 vaccines. At the time, the government promised it would mean "fully vaccinated". To me, a promise is a promise, and fully means fully. Full stop.
As somebody said above, if someone borrows a certain sum from a bank, then fully pays it back, but then half a year later the bank says that person must pay 50% more, nobody would tolerate that. There would be a riot. Unfortunately, people are very vigilant when it's about money, but can be very slack when it's about their rights and freedoms. Even though rights and freedoms are much more precious than any money. People used to fight and die for that in the past.

Of course, it's impossible to fight these days, but I am not going to let anyone exploit me either. I can tell the difference between a government trying to do a reasonable thing to protect public health and a government using a pandemic as a pretext for mass surveillance and power abuse.

A century ago, a very similar pandemic was over in 2 years, even though medicine barely had anything more than castor oil and bandages. Today, we have all the modern drugs and technology, and yet 2 years later we have the same pandemic still getting worse. Why? Because the governments of richer countries prefer to use the pandemic for their political games instead of giving 2 vaccine shots to everyone in poor countries. If they had done that half a year ago instead of forcing us into having boosters, there would have been no omicron and no new wave that we currently have. But, as things are, we will be forced into having vaccine boosters forever. Well...until people's patience runs out.

The most annoying thing is the total absence of balance in the vaccine and booster debate. Actually, there isn't any debate. It's nothing but mandates and coercion, "you must, must, must". Adverse reactions and side effects are dismissed and under-reported, while these ghastly vaccines are touted as safe and effective. Like hell they are! But it is totally pointless to complain unless you have anaphylaxis and drop dead right at the vaccination abattoir. I totally agree regarding the definition of insanity! It is insane that the governments are allowed to keep violating our bodily autonomy with these vaccine boosters that are clearly ineffective and only work for a short period of time. That's if they work at all!
I suspect that:
- Either these vaccinations and boosters have been the easiest way for the governments to appear to be doing something without actually doing much. They don't care about the horrific side effects some people have to suffer after these vaccines. All they care about is winning elections. It's a numbers-and-illusions game: if more people believe that they benefit from boosters, those who don't want to be injected forever and those who have adverse effects don't matter to politicians.
- Or someone high up the vaccine profits chain "persuaded" a few advisory organisations into keeping recommending vaccine boosters indefinitely. After all, one only needs to convince a couple of such organisations in the richest and largest countries. The rest, like the bureaucrats at ATAGI, would just repeat what the big cousins said. It's quite simple, really. If two vaccine doses were enough once and for all, the profits for the vaccine manufacturers would soon cease. And they surely don't want that to happen! This would also explain why mandating countless booster jabs in richer countries was favoured over giving the two first doses in poorer countries, despite the fact that having poorer countries largely unvaccinated would inevitably lead to the emergence of new covid variants - that's how omicron came to be. It's all about money and power, not about health and safety, and definitely not about human rights and freedoms!

Covid vaccines are definitely not as safe as we're led to believe. Adverse effects are grossly underreported and/or dismissed.
I dare anyone who had nasty after effects from any covid vaccine to contact the vaccinator or the responsible government authority. 99% chance you'll be told that it's normal, even if you have excruciating pain, developed a long-term ailment, or had your lifestyle destroyed, OR you will be told that some other underlying condition is to blame, no matter how perfectly healthy you were before getting the vaccine, OR they would pretend that they took your complaint seriously but in reality they wouldn't pass it further.
The scale of the propaganda machine is astonishing. Most online media outlets delete or won't allow negative comments about these vaccines. And those sites that permit honest comments get removed or down-ranked in search engines like google, so that people have hard time finding this information. Try googling 'terrible side effects of covid vaccine'. All you'll get is state-run propaganda about how safe and wonderful these vaccines are! Now ask real people in person. You'll get very different stories.

I have bad and ongoing effects from two doses of Moderna. And I definitely don't want to be pressured into having any boosters. I have developed debilitating pain in my arm radiating from the injection site, and visibly disfiguring varicose veins appeared on my legs. The veins appeared within a few days after the vaccine, but the doctor doesn't want to accept that the vaccine is to blame. The arm pain began within an hour after the injection, so it can't be so easily discarded as not related to the vaccine, but the doctor looks at me like I am exaggerating, offers nothing but painkillers, says that such effects are rare and mild, and I am pretty sure he is not going to report this crippling effect to anyone responsible. Otherwise the 'rare and mild' mantra would have had come to an end by now.
I realise that I will have to live with this pain and disfigurements while the bureaucrats will keep ticking their boxes and getting their salaries. But I would like to thank you for allowing comments from sufferers on your page. Most media have united in their efforts to silence any negative comments about vaccines. Anyone who complains about effects and opposes mandatory vaccine boosters is accused of being an anti-vaxxer despite already having had two injections that have caused the problems in the first place(!), of being a conspiracy theorist, and of spreading fake news. Most negative comments and reviews get deleted, making sure that victims don't get heard. It really begins to feel like we are being raped and gagged. So thank you again for allowing people to say how they feel. It won't cure the physical pain, but it greatly helps with coping psychologically. My very best wishes to you. Take care.

If being able to have your message published here helped you feel at least a bit better, I am glad. This website isn't a big platform, but it is clearly visited and read by a number of people who share your experience. Personally, I do too. That is why while I don't support the nonsense about vaccines putting tracking devices into people's bodies, I can well relate to your grievances. For I have a first-hand experience with adverse post-Pfizer effects, and with being dismissed. When I tried to describe the effects to the vaccination provider, I was swiftly interrupted and told that it was all perfectly normal, mild and even good, because it proved that the vaccine was working. However, when I demonstrated that it wasn't normal, or mild, and certainly not good, the provider's narrative quickly flipped to being very sure that none of it was caused by the vaccine. It was pointless to continue that discussion, because it was impossible to prove anything, as when the issues appeared after the second Pfizer dose, we all believed that it was the last injection and that we would be fully vaccinated from then on. Rushing in that state to doctors, in the midst of the Delta outbreak, to get it documented seemed dangerous and unnecessary at the time. Naive, we didn't know then that the authorities would keep changing their mind and altering the requirements, and that there would be no such thing as "fully vaccinated".

Only equitable vaccine distribution between all countries, not booster shots, can end this pandemic. But that means the governments of rich countries have to let go of population control and tools of coercion, which few of them are willing to do.

It does look pretty pointless to have the booster. Useless really. Nobody is promising that 3 jabs is going to be 100% enough. Already many countries instead of saying that you need 2/3/X jabs, say that your last jab has to be not more than 5/6/9 months ago. So getting a booster now achieves nothing. Except that you'll be pressured to have the next booster sooner.

I am not allowed to enter any restaurant or cafe. Not even for a few seconds for takeaway. Because this government is sure I am so f*ing dangerous and infections due to being unvaccinated. But the same government has no problem with summoning me for jury duty. Somehow it is fine and safe for me to sit in a room with dozens of people for days or maybe even weeks. In Queensland their qld.gov.au site still says:
you are still considered "fully vaccinated" if you had 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
But they'll most likely change that soon, once they get more people to do two jabs. Just like all other states backpedal on their promises all the time. So I'm not even going to start. There's no point.

Yes. The current official Queensland definition: "Fully vaccinated means a person has had the required two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine. It does not include a booster shot or a two-week wait after the second dose." Who know for how long though. It can be changed anytime. The extent of disinformation and contradictions about these vaccines that emanates from the health authorities is astonishing.
On the one hand they say these vaccines are safe and effective.
But if they are so very safe, why aren't they given to children under 5? All the truly safe vaccines are given to children, including newborn babies. Yet these experimental covid vaccines aren't. Do you smell a rat? I certainly do!
Obviously the authorities want the adult population be the free guinea pigs while the children will continue spreading the virus, as they do with all other infections. Because hurting adults is fine. Hurting kiddies is a no-no. It would be a political suicide.
Then, if these vaccines are so very effective, why do we need their never ending boosters? Something really doesn't add up in this spin.
Of course the authorities are quick to use the excuse that the virus is new, that the situation is rapidly changing, that they simply don't know what's going on and what's coming, yadda yadda. But if they don't know, then how can they mandate that people get injected with these experimental vaccines for unknown benefits and even lesser known risks?
Don't know anything? Fine! Let those who want these vaccines have them and leave the rest of us alone!

I really agree with all the negative comments about the ATAGI. By the looks of it, they are just a bunch of clueless paper shufflers who dash about like cockroaches, without any clear aim or solid knowledge. Whatever their big cousins from the US say, they repeat here. "Ah, Americans giving boosters! So we must too! Why and for what exactly benefit - who cares?! But in Australia we will go further - the dictatorship governments in some states will make boosters mandatory!" Idiots.

Some older or immunocompromised people may benefit from boosters, i.e. another dose of these same short-lived and nasty-effect-causing vaccines, but far from all. In the younger, healthier population such boosters are likely to be useless. Or worse, harmful. Just read any scientific paper on the Original Antigenic Sin. It's been known for almost a decade that such boosters can weaken immune response and protection against further virus variants. And when that happens, the ATAGI will be coming up with another stupid solution to cover their backsides and apply a bandaid on the situation, which will inevitably result in Australians losing even more of their rights and freedoms.

And it's remarkable how our authorities always copy the most stupid and controlling overseas examples. How about do what Denmark did instead: remove all the remnants of the covid police state and give people their life and freedoms back? On, no! That would place too much control in the people's hands! We don't do that here, do we? Here we spy on people, tell them what they 'must' do, and bombard them with messages that they are 'due' fort his and for that.

To anyone with half a brain it is clear that mandatory boosters for the whole population are immoral, unethical and harmful. They deprive people in poorer countries of their chance to get their first and second injections, which prolongs the pandemic and aids the emergence of new variants, and they harm the protective mechanisms of immune systems in young and healthy people who have already been 2x jabbed. We are repeatedly told that each of us refusing a booster individually won't redirect that dose into someone's arm in a poor country. Numerous studies have shown that hybrid immunity (from vaccination + infection) is most effective. Is is more long lasting, more comprehensive, and better armed against future variants. And as Omicron usually causes mild or asymptomatic illness, it serves as a low risk natural booster. It exposes the immune system to the entire virus particle and creates better immunity.
But! it doesn't collect people's personal data in the process, so the govt doesn't like that and would rather keep peddling boosters :))

Ok, so I'm done with this. Two jabs are enough for me. They can call me 'overdue' if they like. I don't care anymore. I am not listening any more of what ATAGI has to say. They have been acting like a bunch of bureaucrats without brain, balls or guts. And it's perfectly explainable. The main priority of every bureaucrat is to shield its ass and keep its job. IMO these boosters are doing more harm than good. Maybe they are useful for someone with compromised immune system. But for reasonably healthy people they are bad. I know that from my own experience!

I had covid twice. The first time was after the primary 2 doses. And it was just a few coughs for a couple of days. Nothing more. Then I stupidly trusted the government advice and got the booster. Then I caught covid again. Only this time it was way worse. Still nothing so bad that would warrant this concentration camp life that we've all been living for over two years, but it was definitely worse. Because the booster desensitised my immunity against the mutating virus. So now the government can recommend whatever it wants on more boosters, I'm not having any anymore. Enough playing this Russian roulette with my health for the sake of their political games.

For me it was this keeping tabs on everyone and the mandatory reporting of all vaccinations to the Australian Immunisation Register that put me off the whole thing. I used to get flu shots annually. It used to be a quick thing in any pharmacy. And I used to give the absolute minimum personal info. But now they have to record everything in the AIR, so they use this new rule as an excuse for grabbing a heap of personal data. And because pharmacy privacy policies are generally a joke and allow the use and disclosure of personal data for other purposes, I no longer get flu shots either. I'm sure I can deal with the flu, but I don't want my private information to be misused, stolen, sold or shared with thousands of government bureaucrats. People used to be able to choose whether they want their vaccines to go to the Immunisation Register or not. Since 2021 we have no choice. Another piece of freedom and choice lost in this pandemic. So if a system doesn't let me have any say in how my personal data is treated, I don't want to have anything to do with such system anymore.

Finally! It looks like most states are scrapping quarantine detention for close contacts and international arrivals, but they will still be demanding a negative test. I have no problem with on the spot RAT testing, if I don't have to supply my personal data and can destroy the sample myself after the test. But I am totally against sending my personal information with my DNA sample to some "government-approved testing lab". Nobody knows what they do with all that!

From what I see amongst all the people I know, it's the triple- and quadruple-vaccinated who now end up in hospitals with COVID. The phenomenon of antigenic imprinting is real, and repeatedly sticking the same vaccine into relatively healthy people is only harming them. Unfortunately, bureaucrats are ruled by politicians. And that mob doesn't care about anything except winning votes. They just want to appear like they are doing something. And because this vaccine is the only tool they have, they keep peddling it. The scariest thing about this pandemic wasn't the virus, but being shown that all our rights and liberties can be easily thwarted by the "emergency powers" that state and federal governments have quickly given themselves.

This may appear like the proof of Godwin's law, but it's worth remembering that such "special powers" were the main tool of a certain party in acquiring absolute power in Germany in 1933 (read about the Reichstag Fire Decree and the Enabling Act of 1933 if you don't believe me). Those "emergency" laws gave the German government the power to override individual rights. The next thing that happened was Dachau concentration camp for political opponents. And the rest is history that even the most lazy, naive and ignorant Australians would know.

If you think that such atrocities are absolutely impossible in Australia, do you really think that Germans in the prosperity of the 1920s thought it will have been possible in their country only a decade later? Never forget that Australia doesn't have a Bill of Rights. So all the human rights that you think you are entitled to, are only presumed. They are not guaranteed, and can be taken away by the government in an instant.

It's so good to see a rare page in the internet where comments of ordinary people haven't been deleted or censored. I have always been pro-vaccination. But the coercion, misinformation, censorship, data grab and surveillance that we had to deal with during the Covid19 pandemic made me thoroughly re-evaluate my views. I used to believe our health authorities when they said that something was safe, or when they said that adverse effects were rare. I no longer believe such statements after I've personally witnessed how medical statistics are collected. When I was in the Covid vaccination centre I saw for myself that it was all a lie. Each person was asked if they had any adverse reactions, but no matter what the person replied, the staff was checking the 'no' box in their form. So of course we were kept being told that these vaccines were safe and well tolerated. I suspect that only the people who died from the side affects or got severely disabled and whose families took the matter to the media or to court were counted by the system. Everyone else was counted as 'no side effects'. I am utterly disgusted that our government and our medical system saw fit to abuse our trust in such a terrible way. They have lost my trust forever.
